An avid photographer for over 22 years, and father of five now. I am a member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard and operate as a combat correspondent, or photojournalist, depending on the current situation.I have served a tour in the beautiful country of Iraq, where I had made many good friends. Learned to find the good in every situation with my counterparts, and we carried ourselves in this way. Home now, I love to share that perspective with my family as often as I can.
About my work: I take great pride in the fact that NONE OF MY IMAGES ARE DIGITALLY ALTERED, excluding standard brightness and contrast adjustments to the ENTIRE IMAGE. I do not amend images in any way that could not be done in a traditional darkroom. In addition, NONE OF MY WILDLIFE IMAGES INCLUDE ANY CAPTIVE ANIMALS. They are all wild and in their natural wilderness habitats. I will never publish an image of an animal in captivity and call it a "wildlife" image, as I believe this to be a contradiction in terms. Since I sell my work in the "photography" category, I adhere to the definition of photography as "the art of capturing light on a light sensitive plate or sensor" and therefore do not alter the images after the light has been captured. If I choose to creatively enhance my scenes, I do this through the use of on-camera filters, creative flash and lighting techniques, etc, never in the computer.
ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IMAGES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR WEB AND PRINT USE. PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL WITH THE INTENDED USE, THE CIRCULATION IF PRINT AND THE SITE IT WILL BE USED AND I WILL SEND RATES WITH A COPYRIGHT RELEASE.
